Moortec attended the NMi Silicon for Systems Event which
took place on Thursday 3rd September at the Rutherford Appleton
Laboratory. The laboratories are operated by the Science and Technology
Facilities Council (STFC) which is located on the Harwell Science and
Innovation Campus at Chilton near Didcot in Oxfordshire.
On the Wednesday evening prior to the event we were treated
to a tour of the Diamond Light Source building which
is the UK’s national synchrotron science facility. The facility is used by over
3,000 academic and industrial researchers across a wide range of disciplines
including structural biology, energy, engineering, nanoscience and environmental
sciences. After the tour there was an NMi dinner at the Kingswell Hotel.
The Silicon for Systems presenters
included experts from the following areas, System Design, Component
distribution, FPGA Design, FPGA analysing and testing, IC Supply Chain
Management, IC Design, IC Manufacturing and IC Encapsulation.
Moortec were able to deliver a short presentation of their
Embedded PVT Monitoring & Optimisation IP solutions and also had a table in
the exhibition hall. The event was huge success and was well attended by some
well known names in the Semiconductor industry.
